BOTOX® Cosmetic is administered by a healthcare professional as a simple, nonsurgical treatment that is injected directly into the muscles of he forehead and around the eyes. It works by blocking nerve impulses to the injected muscles. This reduces muscle activity that causes moderate to severe wrinkles to form.
This procedure is done in an office setting and generally takes just a few minutes to administer. No anesthesia is necessary, and the patient can immediately return to daily activities.
